A 15-year-old boy is facing a first-degree murder charge after North Miami police say he shot into a car and caused a fatal crash.

According to police, Emmanuel Aime was standing on the side of Northwest 13th Avenue near 131st Street around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he opened fire on a Suzuki SUV.

The gunshots, police say, forced the driver to crash into an FPL light pole. The crash killed the unidentified passenger, according to police.

The driver, who was also not identified, was not injured.

Police say they arrested Emmanuel, who is being charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
