A carjacking, a two-county chase and a crash on Interstate 95

A chase of carjacking suspects spanned two counties on Interstate 95 before ending in a crash Thursday afternoon, Fort Lauderdale police said.

Two suspects, whose names haven’t been released, were arrested.

Cops say they saw the car at 2700 Sunrise Blvd. and began pursuit. The chase slalomed north on Interstate 95 over the Broward County-Palm Beach County line until the suspects’ car crashed at I-95 and Spanish River Boulevard.

This is the second multi-county chase in the last 18 hours. On Wednesday night, Miramar cops say, a Miramar foot chase turned into a Hallandale Beach carjacking and chase that went into Miami Gardens before ending in West Park. Keivonne Jordan, 21, was arrested on a charge of carjacking without a weapon and fleeing and eluding police.
