The FBI is searching for a pair of suspects who carjacked and robbed a bank employee at gunpoint in Tamarac.

The robbery happened around 2 p.m. Monday near the Wells Fargo at 4101 Commercial Boulevard, FBI officials said.

The bank messenger was transporting documents between banks when the carjacking happened. Officials said the suspects followed the messenger and forced the messenger from his silver 2012 Toyota Camry at gunpoint.

Officials said the robbers were in a black Dodge Journey. Surveillance footage showed the victim’s car being followed by the suspects’ SUV.

Both vehicles are still being sought, and the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
