A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a crash late Wednesday night in a Deerfield Beach neighborhood.

NBC 6 cameras were at the scene near NE 3rd Avenue and 44th Street around 11 p.m. where the deputy’s cruiser reportedly collided with a sedan.

The grandmother of the man driving that sedan, a 29-year-old, told reporters that he was taken to Broward Health North with serious injuries, but officials have not confirmed that or the details surrounding the crash.
