Cold Front Could Bring Strong Storms to South Florida

It’ll be one more quiet day across South Florida Wednesday before our next cold front arrives.

Wake up temperatures will start in the low 60s and land into the low 80s by the afternoon with a bit of sunshine and a low rain chance. The next cold front approaches Thursday and brings with it an unsettled weather pattern for Thursday into Friday.

We will then watch for the potential for strong to severe storms. As of now, the timing looks to be late day Thursday into the overnight hours of Friday. With this robust front, the potential impacts include heavy rainfall, strong winds, localized flooding and isolated tornadoes.

By Friday morning, the strongest activity should die down and leave us with a few lingering showers for our morning commute. Once the early showers taper off, great weather will follow.

This weekend and into Christmas Day, skies will remain dry, mostly sunny & temperatures stay comfortable.
