Ed. Secretary Making South Florida Stops Thursday

Secretary of Education Betsy Devos will be making a visit to South Florida on Thursday and touring schools at all different levels.

Devos will be touring FIU in the morning – which will be her first visit to a public university since being confirmed to her cabinet post.

She is also set to visit CARE Elementary and SLAM charter school in Miami – run by pop star and South Florida native Pitbull.

Devos has been an outspoken supporter of charter schools and school choice – a position that has caused disagreements from public school officials who opposed her nomination by President Donald Trump.
