Fake $80 Publix Coupon Making Rounds on Social Media

Publix is warning people not to fall for a fake coupon that’s making the rounds on social media.

The offer claims Publix is giving shoppers an $80 coupon to celebrate the supermarket chain’s 75th anniversary. But Publix’s first location opened almost 89 years ago.

“This coupon is not supported by Publix and is not valid at any of our locations,” the company replied to several users on Twitter. “We recommend you don’t click the link or provide your personal information.”

The company says shoppers looking to save should visit publix.com/savings.
