Firefighter Hurt After AM Blaze Engulfs SW Miami-Dade Bakery

An early morning fire ripped through a Southwest Miami-Dade bakery that had been a staple of the area for decades and sent one first responder to the hospital.

Fire crews arrived at the scene of the Delicias de Espana bakery at the corner of Southwest 57th Avenue and Bird Road early Tuesday, where they were able to eventually put out the fire and keep it from spreading to other businesses but not before causing heavy damage to the business that included a partial collapse of the building.

One of the firefighters who responded was injured and rushed to the hospital, but officials have not released their condition and the exact injury.
