Broward County officials announced the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) would reopen Tuesday and public school would resume classes Wednesday.

The decision comes after Hurricane Dorian began moving northwest at 1 mph. The National Hurricane Center on Tuesday said Dorian is not expected to make any landfall in Florida.

FLL and North Perry Airport will resume operations at noon, officials said.

Broward County’s emergency shelters will close Tuesday. Florida International University will resume classes Wednesday.

Florida Memorial University, the University of Miami, Keiser University, the West Coast University Miami campus and the Southeastern College Miami Lakes campus are closed Tuesday. It is not clear if they will resume classes Wednesday.

Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University are closed through Wednesday.
