As Haitians are celebrating Haitian Heritage and Cultural month around the United States, we are talking about the role of religions in the development of Haiti. According to the CIA World Factbook, 80% of Haitians are Roman Catholic, 16% are Protestant, 3% of the population are said to havee other religions, and 1% has no religion. It is also noted that a number of the population practice Vodou. How can these religions and their leaders contribute to the development of Haiti?
