HAITI JOURNAL: Influencing Black Youth

On February 24th, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced it found no sufficient evidence to charge George Zimmerman with federal civil rights violation in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. The DOJ also closed its case against Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, with no additional charges for the killing of Michael Brown. But, they did find “systemic racial discrimination by the Ferguson Police and the court system against African-Americans”. How does our culture affect black youth? Do they stand a fighting chance?
