Hialeah Issues Boil Water Notice For Select Areas After Irma

Residents in one area of Hialeah are being advised of a precautionary boil water notice in effect after samples recently taken showed possible contamination.

Those who live between West 84th Street to the North, Okeechobee Road to the South, West 6th Avenue to the west and Palm Avenue to the east are being advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes must be boiled for at least one minute to be used.

The notice, which will remain in effect until samples show the water is clear, is believed to be the result of recent repairs to the city’s water system following damaged caused by Hurricane Irma.
