Head Coach Adam Gase, defensive ends Charles Harris and Andre Branch, and defensive tackles Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor, and cornerback Byron Maxwell were among those who addressed the media after practice at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University on Monday.
Here were the comments that stood out, along with some perspective:
“We have a good idea of what we want to do and he’s on board with it, and now it’s just going to be, how do we feel week after week? Do we need to make an adjustment with this?” — Just like they had a plan for Mike Pouncey during training camp, Adam Gase says there will be a plan in place for him during the regular season.
“We just know we’re going to be play more than one guy. I like the fact that those guys are competing as hard as they are. They’ve got their little battle going on, but at the end of the day it’s only making all of us better. That’s really what we’re looking to do.” — Adam Gase is looking at the battle between Jordan Phillips and Davon Godchaux as a win-win situation for the Dolphins.

“Probably the most talented group that I’ve been on. I’ve been on a lot of talented groups, but the younger players are extremely talented and we have the perfect veteran guys in our room.” — Andre Branch likes to make-up of the 2017 Dolphins defensive line.
