Head Coach Adam Gase addressed the media at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University on Tuesday.

Here were the comments that stood out, along with some perspective:

“Nothing. But that’s me. I know he doesn’t feel that way. I know he wants to practice and kind of go through his routine.”
— This is what Gase said he needs to see from Mike Pouncey during training camp. Gase knows what he has in the three-time Pro Bowl selection.

— Gase says Pouncey’s leadership qualities is one reason he’s not worried about Pouncey missing a lot of time in training camp.

“We got so many guys playing center, I’m good.”
— Gase is not worried about the depth at center in the event has to miss regular season action.

— Gase is confident new tight end Julius Thomas will continue to build a rapport with quarterback Ryan Tannehill after starting the process in the spring.

“He’s going to do his thing. He’s going to practice. We’ve got a good plan for him.”
— With running back Jay Ajayi expected to carry a heavy load in 2017, Gase was asked whether precautions would be taken with him during training camp.

“One thing that I did learn was kind of trying match up offense-defense, trying to do what’s best for both sides of the ball.”
— This is what Gase said stood out when he did some self-scouting regarding his first training camp last summer.

– Gase is anxious to see if first-round pick Charles Harris can pick up where he left off after an impressive spring performance.
