ISSUES: Commemorating 9/11 Through Interfaith Dialogue

This September 11th marks the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that changed the U.S. forever. Many have focused their anger and frustration at the 9/11 attacks, and more recent terror events, on certain religious groups — dividing communities. But the Miami Coalition of Christians and Jews (MCCJ) takes a different approach — in a time of violence and hatred, they’re taking this opportunity to promote solidarity among South Florida’s religious and community leaders, by celebrating the interfaith community with a special service, where all are welcome. Pastor Wilifred Allen-Faiella, designer of the service, joins us to discuss the significance of this event and the importance of an open dialogue between different faiths.
