Miami-Dade County voters will decide this November whether or not to approve a property-tax increase for an $830 million general obligation bond to benefit Jackson Health System. Carlos Migoya, President and CEO, explains why he thinks this proposal should be approved. Also this week, This week, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez held his last town hall to address the county budget. Activists also announced they would seek to recall Commissioner Lynda Bell for her vote to maintain property taxes the same at the expense of not fully funding the Pet’s Trust.
