ISSUES: Lotto Sales Up – Where Does the Money Go?

Big lotto sales should equate to big money for education. But in a soon-to-be released article, the Sun Sentinel found this isn’t always the case. Though scratch-off sales have risen from $2 billion – $3.7 billion last year – more than half of which came from poor communities — money funneled to help fund education within Florida, has not kept pace. The Sun Sentinel’s Dan Sweeney joins us to share his surprising findings.
