ISSUES: Miami-Dade Courthouse Referendum

On the November 4th ballot, Miami-Dade County voters will be asked to approve a $393 million bond referendum, allowing the construction of a new courthouse. The current courthouse, which is on the National Register of Historical Places, has been in disrepair for decades, with mold, termites and flooding listed as just a few of the many problems. But will voters agree to this new construction if it means raising property taxes?
