ISSUES: Political Transparency & FPL Nuclear Plant Water Pollution

PACs- or Political Action Committees – are organizations set up to raise money to influence elections or legislation. But issues arise when it comes to transparency, often leaving the public in the dark about which PACs are backing which candidates. This week, in an effort to commit to transparent disclosure, a workshop was organized for Miami-Dade County Commissioners- but out of the 13 commissioners, only two attended. Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava organized the workshop and joins us to discuss the importance of political transparency and her concern for the water pollution stemming from leakage at Turkey Point.
