A Florida man is behind bars after allegedly posting on Facebook that he wanted to murder everyone at
a Key Largo bar.
Forty-seven year old John Dominick Aglio was charged with intimidation and written threats to kill or injure,
according to a news release. Police said the Facebook postings were filled with expletives and suggested
that Aglio believed the bar – or people at the bar – were associated with the death of his uncle more than three decades ago.
Authorities said Aglio’s uncle was found shot to death on Card Sound Road, shortly after visiting
the Caribbean Club.
In the Facebook post, Aglio said he wanted to “murder everyone at the Caribbean Club,” police said. He also said he was
going to make people at the bar “all pay one at a time” and “they don’t know what the word hate really
means,” according to the release.
Authorities were alerted to the threatening social media posts on March 22 by an unidentified man. Aglio was
initially detained in Pinellas County, but was transferred and booked into the Monroe County Detention Center
Saturday.
