Man Arrested in Connection With UM Student’s Killing

A man is in custody Wednesday in connection with the killing of a University of Miami architecture student in his Coral Gables apartment.

The Miami-Dade Police Department arrested Robert Wayne Gore, 28, in the area of SW 200 Street and South Dixie Highway. His charges are pending.

Yasser Talal Ibrahim Abualfaraj, 23, was found dead Oct. 7 in his off-campus apartment. His body was found with multiple signs of trauma, police said.

Gore, who is homeless, was transported to the Miami-Dade Police Department where he will be undergoing questioning.

Abualfaraj was a third-year architecture student from Saudi Arabia.
