The company tweeted a message Thursday morning that it had narrowed the search down from almost 240 cities down to 20. Miami was named one of those picked to move on to the next phase, joining cities that include Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York among others.

Amazon has said they are planning to invest nearly $5 billion for the facility they are calling “HQ2” – which will reportedly bring in as many as 50,000 jobs for whichever city wins the bid, along with jobs associated with construction of the campus.
