Police say one person is dead and another seriously wounded after an apparent shooting incident between a father and son inside a Weston home.

Officials with the Broward Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened in a gated community located in the 3200 block of Islewood Avenue. The incident began when a person – believed to be the son – allegedly opened fire on his father, officials said.

The SWAT team arrived on-scene shortly after 8:39 a.m. Saturday.  One person was reported dead inside the home while another suffered injuries from a gunshot wound.

The wounded man was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he is receiving medical treatment. BSO homicide and crime scene detectives are investigating the incident.
