Person Injured After Reported Shooting Inside Boca Mall: PD

Boca Raton police say they still do not have a suspect in custody after reports of a shooting placed the Town Center Mall on lockdown Sunday afternoon.

In a tweet, police confirmed one person suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Delray Medical Center.

During a press conference, police then said the person suffered a trauma wound at the food court and sustained non life-threatening injuries.

No weapon was recovered at the scene, police say.

Officers are now working on systematically clearing the mall.

Police say an update on the investigation will be provided at 8 p.m.
