“Pop Culture in Peanuts” Exhibit

From “Art Loft” Episode 220 w/ Host Kalyn James:
From football to macrame to 3-d glasses, Charles M. Schulz made reference to 20th century, American pop culture through his “peanuts” comic strip. The recent “pop culture in peanuts” exhibit at the art and culture center of Hollywood delved into the fads, trends, and contemporary influences on Peanuts and showed us how those references changed over the 50 years of the strip.

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood currently features the work of another “slightly” more adult cartoonist, Aline Kominksy-Crumb. That exhibit runs through mid-March.
