The Miami Dolphins today announced they have re-signed guard/tackle Jermon Bushrod.
Bushrod started all 16 games at right guard for the Dolphins in 2016 and helped block for running back Jay Ajayi, who rushed for 1,272 yards, the third-most in a single season in Dolphins history. Bushrod was part of a unit that protected Ryan Tannehill, who posted career highs in both passer rating (93.5) and yards per attempt (7.7). Previously, the 10-year NFL veteran played for the New Orleans Saints (2007-12) and Chicago Bears (2013-15). Bushrod won Super Bowl XLIV with the Saints following the 2009 season and was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2011 and 2012 seasons. He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (125th overall) by the Saints in the 2007 NFL draft.
