Officials in North Bay Village said they’re trying to fix an issue that has a restaurant’s raw sewage spilling into Biscayne Bay Monday.

The restaurant at 1880 Kennedy Causeway is having a grease trap issue that’s causing the sewage to spill into a catch basin and then directly into the bay, North Bay Village officials said.

The Miami-Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management and Envirowaste, which specializes in oil cleanup, were called to the site.

Traffic in the area may be affected as crews work to fix the issue, officials said.
