Lady Luck has touched a woman from Miami.

Sheila McClendon, 59, won $ 1 million from the new Scratch-Off game known as “Florida 20X The Cash” and claimed her prize Friday at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

According to the Florida Lottery, the woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $770,000.00.

McClendon bought the $5 winning ticket at the Ives Dairy Marathon located at 19760 NW 2nd Ave.

The Florida Lottery said the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

The “Florida 20X The Cash” game was launched on Jan. 15 with top prize of $1 million.

McClendon’s prize was announced hours after the news of a pregnant woman in Volusia County who won $ 1 million with another scratch-off game just days before Mother’s Day.

The pregnant woman, named Karlee Harbst, won the prize a week after winning $100 with the same $5,000,000 Gold Rush Doubler game.
