While temperatures have stayed in the mid-80s across South Florida for much of this week, a cold front will blast through the area this weekend and a big temperature drop and blustery conditions will follow.
Highs may push into the low 70s early in the day on Saturday before falling into the 60s through the afternoon as showers and an early storm appear likely. Lows on Saturday night and Sunday night are forecast to barely hit 50 degrees in Miami, which would be the coolest readings of 2017, with a forecasted high of only 65 degrees Sunday afternoon – which would be the coolest high of the year.
Those high temperatures will remain in the 60s on Monday before briefly working into the low 70s by Tuesday. Another cold front will push through late Tuesday night, dropping highs into the 60s again on Wednesday while lows will stay locked in the 50s through at least the middle of the week.
Temperatures are poised to rebound dramatically by the end of next week and next weekend.
