Spirit Airlines Investing $250M in New Dania Beach Headquarters

Spirit Airlines is moving its headquarters out of Miramar, but not out of Broward County.

The airline said Thursday it will invest $250 million in a new corporate headquarters in Dania Beach. The plan is to move 1,000 employees from the airline’s longtime headquarters in Miramar, while also adding 225 jobs at the new location by 2022.

Spirit said the move will put the airline closer to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
