Stop & Shop armed robbery suspect still at large

A man robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Saturday morning.

The suspect walked into the Stop & Shop, 4777 W. Flagler St., and pointed a gun directly at the employee, according to surveillance video released by Miami police Wednesday.

Without hesitation, the employee raised his hands and surrendered all the cash from the register. The thief stuffed the cash into his black duffel bag and fled southbound from the store, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a white Latin male, around 6-feet-tall and 175 to 180 pounds.

This is not Stop & Shop’s first run-in with armed robbers.

In February 2016, a man was arrested for robbing five different convenience stores, including this Stop & Shop.

The suspect from Saturday’s incident is still at large.
