A man accused of robbing a string of South Florida banks is on the run, police say.

The FBI released photos of the suspect, who is pictured wearing a white shirt and gray shorts. The amount of money stolen is currently unknown.

Officers say the suspect entered a Chase bank at 4223 Hollywood Blvd. just after 2:30 p.m. Friday. He allegedly demanded money from an employee and implied he had a weapon, officers said.

About 30 minutes later, the same suspect entered a Bank of America at 2903 Stirling Road in Hollywood. Again, he implied he had a weapon and demanded cash from an employee.

Hours later, the same suspect allegedly walked into a SunTrust bank at 8200 W. Broward Blvd. in Plantation. The same sequence of events followed: He allegedly demanded money, implied he had a weapon, and fled with cash.

Anyone with information about the alleged robber is urged to call the FBI at 754-703-2000 or Crimestoppers.
