Police are investigating an early morning crash Tuesday where a SUV vehicle slammed into a home.

Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said the incident took place in the 200 block of Southwest 11th Street just before 2 a.m., where the SUV lost control and rolled over.

The SUV later went through a fence and crashed into a home, going halfway into the kitchen before catching fire.

Fire rescue crews responded and put out the flames. No one living inside the home was injured.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Aventura Hospital, where his condition has not been released but he was taken as a trauma alert with a severe leg injury according to Hallandale Beach Police.

Police have not released additional information on the case at this time, but HBPD say speed may have played a role in the crash.
