Teen Killed After Being Hit by a Car While on a Skateboard

A teenager is dead after being hit by a car while they were riding on a skateboard, police said.

According to police, the incident happened at Northwest 9th Avenue and West Sunrise Blvd. just after 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said the victim, who is approximately 15-years-old, was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car. The victim was eventually pronounced dead.

An investigation into the incident is now underway.
