The Boss Project hits Galuppis
Springsteen Tribute Band entertains Diners
Galuppis is the restaurant that has the food lease at Pompano Beach Municipal Golf course.
Known for it’s “Specials” ($12.95 meals) during the week and Happy Hour some Broward drunks enjoy, Galuppis is now venturing into the live music scene.
We checked out Galuppis this week when The Boss Project was appearing.
First we played the dog track that the golf course has become. Gone are many of the trees damage from Irma and the greens we’re horrible.
The Palms course is unplayable now, due to rough so overgrown that a scratch golfer lost 6 balls in our group since even a shot one or two inches into first cut of rough made balls disappear.
Dinner inside Galuppis was excellent and priced mid-ranged ($20 buck entrees) but the new sauce on the famous rack of ribs we ordered was not as good as the old sauce.
We ventured by 8pm outside to the patio near a lake infested with mosquitoes. People were still ordering food and the band started to play to the delight of mostly a senior citizen crowd who were in their early 20’s when the Boss first scored a time magazine cover.
While the band features a smooth voiced singer who would suit playing a fat Elvis more than a lean Boss, we felt tortured by the act with one lone bright spot the huge Sax Player.
If the band was just another cover band, then the vanilla karaoke style voice of the lead singer would be okay if the band played lots of artists in their sets. But this is a tribute band to the BOSS and the voice of the lead singer did not resemble the rough pained lyrics of the REAL BOSS.
So after a handful of songs we left, we went to see a band that is supposed to sound like the iconic singer Bruce Springsteen and we got a band that sounded like mediocre live music karaoke.
THE LEGEND Rex Luciferius himself was in the crowd seen with dapper Tony Serino the President of Serino Cigars a red hot boutique cigar company that has huge ratings from lots of top cigar review sites for his Serino Royale line.
Rex is on his way to becoming the biggest global star in music history due to his songs are considered PROPHECY MUSIC.
He already has over 30 million plays on SoundCloud the top streaming site in the world for the under 22 crowd.
Already Rex has charted 3 #1 hits and put 25 songs into the top 10 in five different genres of music on SoundCloud.
Major labels have been inquiring about acquiring his catalog of music from his Indy Label Ninth Label.
The top record companies in the world now have a major piece of SoundCloud so the top execs in music all know who Rex is.
Outside of the USA Rex has a nice following and in Asia a TV star publicly proclaimed her love for Rex and Asian virgins are offering themselves to Rex publicly proclaiming their love for him as God’s living word on Earth.
And, the story of Rex is just beginning since his music has been banned from radio play inside the USA since 2002 when the DC Sniper shootings occurred and locations given by Rex in his song Virgin Mary Sacrifices that was ordered by the FBI to not be allowed on US airways.
This FACT earned Rex the nickname LEGEND and it became the title of a documentary about his music that predicts future mass death events.
While some restaurants such as Fishtails are offering Live Music with great food, their band starts at 10pm so you don’t have the clamor of food servers dolling out food while the band plays.
Galuppis is a terrible venue for live music in our opinion due to many reasons.
The band stage faces an area with picnic style tables and the bar area is totally blind to the stage.
There is no dance area and the setup seems to be more of a low grade seating arrangement instead of seating for a place that does have decent well priced food.
The music stops at Galuppis when most live music venues such as Fishtails is just starting.
Guluppis does a great job during the week catering to the senior crowd looking for good food at reduced rates such as their $12.99 daily specials.
Galuppis fails in our opinion as a live music venues, the same way The Boss Project fails at being a tribute to THE BOSS.
