A bloody start to the weekend in Miami streets at three separate shootings have sent three men, one a juvenile, to the hospital.

Miami police are investigating a shooting at 1177 SW Eighth St. near a CVS that left one man wounded.

According to the police, a gunman approached two men who were outside of a Little Havana CVS around 2 a.m. and fired multiple shots. The man who was hit by the gunfire was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital., where he is in stable condition, said Miami Police Spokesperson Kenia Fallat.

The motive is still unclear as officers investigate, Fallat said.

Miami police also responded to a shooting near a vacant lot at 1160 NW Second Ave. in the Overtown area just after 1:30 a.m.

There, they found two men with gunshot wounds and another man who was hurt by flying glass. The gunshot victims were sent to Jackson in stable condition, Fallat said, adding the motive in that shooting is also under investigation.

In a third instance, Miami-Dade police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile in a residential neighborhood at 2000 NW 67 St. At least four shots were fired near homes and an apartment’s playground. The victim was sent to Jackson’s Ryder Trauma Center.
