Trump Wins Visas to Hire 70 Foreign Workers at Mar-a-Lago

President Trump is set to increase the number of foreign workers at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach for the upcoming winter season.

Trump has won permission to hire 70 maids, cooks and servers at the club for the 2017-2018 tourist season, according to newly released data from the U.S. Labor Department obtained by the Palm Beach Post. The club hired 64 foreign workers for the 2016-2017 season, according to the report.

The H-2B visas cover non-agricultural guest workers in seasonal industries like landscaping, fishing and resorts. Nearly 134,000 foreign workers are expected to be hired nationwide in 2017-2018, up from 119,000 in 2016-2017, according to the Post.
