Police are investigating a shooting in Miami Gardens that left two people dead.

The incident happened at the 2700 block of Northwest 167th Street at midnight on Saturday.

When police arrived on scene, they discovered a driver and a passenger in a vehicle suffered gunshot wounds.

When fire rescue arrived, one person was dead, the other victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police are looking for the man responsible. He’s being described as a black man in his 20’s, thin, wearing a tan or beige shirt with pants, about 5’7 to 5’8.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Tips leading to an arrest could be eligible to a $3,000 reward.

This shooting is the latest in a wave of violence in Miami Gardens over the last week. This marks the fifth shooting in just seven days, all of which happened a few blocks from each other.
