A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on the beach near Key Biscayne after it was damaged in a bird strike Thursday morning, officials said.
The Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin helicopter was on a routine flight when it had to make the emergency landing around 10:30 a.m. on the beach near the southern side of Key Biscayne, officials said.
The two pilots, a flight mechanic and a rescue swimmer who were on-board weren’t injured.
