VIEWPOINT: SPECIAL Student Panel – Race & Higher Ed in America

The college experience comes at a time when young people begin to form ideas and opinions, about themselves and others, that last a lifetime. But, this experience isn’t the same for all students. Studies have shown that young black men are often among the most stereotyped populations in higher education and society. Our dynamic panel of young men from local colleges and universities, joined by special guest and motivational speaker Dario Phillipe, have an open and honest conversation about their own barriers and successes and what it’s really like being a young black man in America.
