Runners in South Florida and across the globe are hitting the pavement at the same time for this year’s Wings for Life.
Around 4,000 runners of all abilities are taking part in the run in Sunrise at the BB&T Center on Sunday.
Starting at 7 a.m., runners across the world in 13 different time zones runners started the race simultaneously.
The race has no finish line; instead, a jeep traveling 10 mph catches runners and that’s the end of their race.
All of the registration fees from the Wings for Life run go to fund research to cure spinal cord injury.
